Betty Boo

Betty’s story

Goldie’s don’t just rescue senior cats, we do sometimes help the younger ones too. A friend of some of the volunteer’s needed help with a kitten who had been dumped in a box at the school she works at just before Christmas 2014. Luckily for Betty it didn’t take very long at all for her to find a forever home of her own.

Betty’s happy ending

Betty was adopted by Helen and her son in February 2014 from Goldie’s Cat Rescue. Sadly their elderly cats who were brother and sister passed away within 3 weeks of each other. They already had a young cat but wanted to give another cat a home, but they didn’t really want to get a cat from a pet shop.

Helen discovered Betty and her story and wanted to give her the forever home she so deserved. Helen says that Betty is a lively cat, who they absolutely adore and she settled in well with their other cat and 2 dogs.

Helen says that she can’t praise adoption enough, young or old and she now would not consider getting another pet unless it was via adoption from a rescue.
